Macramé is a hand weaving technique that uses ropes or threads to create a variety of decorative patterns. The technique consists of making knots and braids with the threads, without using machines or needles.
Macramé has been used for many years to create decorative pieces, fashion accessories, jewelry and more. With macramé, you can create a variety of projects, from simple keychains and bracelets to large curtains and intricate tapestries.
To do macramé, you only need a few basic tools, such as ropes or threads, scissors and a support to fix the piece you are working on. With a little practice and patience, you can create beautiful macramé pieces to decorate your home or give as gifts to friends and family.
Today our project is a beautiful mini vase holder that, in addition to the charm that macramé brings to any piece, has super stylish wooden beads.
So, are you excited to start our work?
Let's get to know our play.
Crochet for home - multipurpose basket
Crochet is back with everything and including a beautiful piece made by yourself in your home decor will make your home more beautiful and cozy
Let's go: cut 4 cords, each 1.60 m long. Fold the ropes in half and tie a loop knot at the top end. Wrap two loose ends of the cord together with tape. This makes it easier to push them through the bead holes. Push the first row of beads to about 1 1/2 inches below the loop knot.
After the last row of beads, tie a bow knot under each bead. This way the pearls stay in place afterwards and don't slip out. Remove the tape again.
Measure about 1 1/2 inches down from the beads and tie a bow knot with two strands each.
Then measure 3.5 cm below each node. Now the nodes are moved. This means that the right string of one pair is tied to the left string of the neighboring pair.
Measure another 3.5 cm and tie a bow knot with all the strings.
Cut the loose strands to one length and, if desired, undo and comb the ends.
Cut 20 cm of cord and fold in half. Secure to the top loop with a starter knot. Also wrap the 2 loose ends with tape and wrap it around the bead. Swipe to the home node.
Finally, secure the pearl with a simple knot and tie another loop knot above the pearl.
Your mini macramé baskets are ready 🙂
