The Dramatic Style of an Apartment with a Black Interior
The power and elegance of a design in shades of black

A architecture and interior design firm RA! released images of an apartment they recently completed in Mexico, which stands out for its monochromatic interior.
The 80 square meter apartment is a real highlight, with black and gray dominating the decor. The walls, then, don't even mention it: they have a mix of black Chukum that creates a texture with various nuances and tones.
The architects tore down the walls that divided the spaces, and now the living room, dining area and kitchen are all integrated, forming an open and spacious environment.
It has a long wall that passes through all three rooms, with a TV that rotates so you can watch it even from the bedroom, shelves for books, a small bar and kitchen cabinets.
Indirect lighting adds a soft touch of brightness throughout the apartment, and the wooden floor, cut in a “herringbone” style, recedes from the edges, creating a thin golden brass outline.
The dark color palette continues into the bedroom and bathroom. In the bedroom, the high ceiling gives a feeling of spaciousness to the space.
The bathroom, which is next to the bedroom, has an independent black bathtub right in the middle of the room, a closet with glass doors and a sink with space for two people. The toilet and shower are behind glass compartments, one on each side of the sink.
